Zachary Quinto not sure he wants to have kids
Zachary Quinto loves kids but admits he’s not so sure he wants to have any of his own.
The openly gay star of Heroes, American Horror Story and the Star Trek movies says: ‘I’m going to get in so much trouble for saying this, but I’ve always really wanted to have a kid but now all of my friends have kids and I’ll come in from a trip or hang out with my friends and their kids.
‘I’m thrilled to hang out with them, but by the time they’re ready to go home I’m so ready for them to go home. I’m kind of like, “I need to re-evaluate this. I don’t know.”‘
The 37-year-old actor made the admission to The Backlot while discussing his new documentary series The Chair.
Quinto says that when it comes to the question of kids, he feels like taking it one day at a time.
‘I’m open to any of it, but I’m not locked into any of it either. I feel like it will all unfold as it’s meant to. The balance is delicate.’
As far as approaching 40, he says: ‘I’m not worried about it. I just turned 37. I’m grateful for the experience of age. I try to be really connected to this journey of life that we’re all on and, obviously, the older we get the clearer it becomes that it doesn’t last forever.’
True that!

I admit I don’t understand all the gay people wanting kids. I never wanted kids and am glad I don’t!

Straight, gay or whatever, who says you have to want kids? I think parenting classes should be required for a males and females in the junior year of high school. It might be the best sex education classes on the face of the earth. kids would know what parenting is really all about and what happens when you have one!

Good for you Zachary. There are too many parents in this world who shouldn’t be. Having children is a life long responsibility. A little, heck a lot, of thought before you decide to have them should be the law of the land.
FAEN says:
@Joe-I’m sure all the GLBT parents don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to have kids.
