Wishing a happy birthday to former Major League Baseball player Billy Bean who publicly came out as gay in 1999. He went on to become the league’s first Ambassador for Inclusion and is currently a league Vice President and special assistant to the commissioner. Billy is a real hero of mine and his memoir “Going the Other Day” made me cry. I’m here with Billy on LA Dodgers Pride Day in 2017. @billysbeans @mlb @ladodgers__
