Wishing a happy 40th birthday to Chad Allen!

From St. Elsewhere to Our House to Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, Chad Allen literally grew up before our eyes.
It’s hard to believe that today, he turns 40!
Before Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Bomer, Zachary Quinto, Ricky Martin, Adam Lambert, Jim Parsons or any of the others came out publicly as gay, Chad did so.
Not only is he very brave, he’s also very smart and articulate and talented and didn’t fold after a tabloid cruelly outed him when he was just 21. He went on to become a respected LGBT activist.
Chad went on to play gay private detective Donald Strachey in a series of films, starred opposite Valerie Harper in the LA production of Looped and has appeared in several more movies, TV shows and plays.
But in recent years, he has returned to school and is currently a full-time student at UCLA – the photo on the left is him during a typical busy day on campus.
Below are some photos of Chad through the years.
Hope he’s not too busy studying to have a nice birthday celebration!

I never watched Dr. Quinn, so I had only known him from Our House when he guested on Star Trek :TNG as Jono and stole my heart. What a hottie in that leather outfit!
Hard to believe he’s 40. Happy birthday!

I was wondering what happened to Chad Allen as I haven’t heard about him in the media for quite some time. He is a handsome man.
Happy 40th Chad!
