Wilson Cruz reflects on “bittersweet” ending to “amazing” experience on “Red Band Society”
The super-talented Wilson Cruz is a man with two great passions: his career as an actor and his work as an LGBT activist.
When he landed a role as a regular on the Fox drama series Red Band Society, Wilson had to scale back his work with GLAAD as the series was being shot in Atlanta.
Unfortunately, the series has been canceled and Wilson has shared his thoughts about the experience on Facebook:
Last day of shooting on @RedBandSociety. Bittersweet. The bond you establish with the people with whom you endeavor to be creative is amazing. I’ll miss these folks and their sunny and supportive dispositions. We’ve all been happy warriors and, if nothing else, this premature ending has afforded us the opportunity to tell each other how much each of us and this experience, as a whole, has meant to us. Thank you to everyone here in ATL and to all of my friends who’ve encouraged me along the way. I remain grateful and open to the universe’s master plan, whatever it may be.
