Will naughty Kathy Griffin be banned from CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper?

http://media.herald-dispatch.com/blog/tuned/uploaded_images/Kathy-and-Anderson-Cooper-781567.jpgKathy Griffin is busy filming her guest-starring stint on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU this week but you gotta figure she is eating up all of the speculation about whether she has been banned from CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage in the future.

Our favorite redhead was co-hosting festivities from Times Square with Anderson Cooper when she dropped an f-bomb on live television. While trying to pronounce the name of “Balloon Boy” Falcon Heene she said: “Fal- Fuc****? Falcon? How do you say it?”

The Silver Fox shook his head and said: “You’re terrible. Really terrible.”

This came after last year when she thought she was off the air and yelled at an off-camera heckler: “I’m working. I don’t go to your job and knock the dicks out of your mouth!”

After speculation about her status for future NY Eve broadcasts reached fever pitch yesterday, CNN rep Shimrit Sheetrit released this atatement: “Stories about Kathy Griffin being banned from CNN are incorrect. No decisions have been made regarding next year’s show.”

Whatever happens, Kathy will milk it for all its worth. She got all kinds of material after she was banned, re-banned then un-banned from ABC’s The View.

For now, she’s busy acting on SVU and Tweeted Monday: “Today was my 1st day of filming SVU. Why does Chris Meloni keep offering me lube?

One Remark

  1. I love Kathy but knew she said the F word describing the child, Falcon. Did she do it on purpose – absolutely? I’m assuming she won’t be back next year but CNN will let her keep the check. So that contract she read in the beginning wasn’t needed at all.
