Will Horton’s dad works through his surprising homophobia on “Days of Our Lives”
Will and Sonny scenes have been scarce in recent weeks but we did get a little nibble earlier this week on Days of Our Lives.
Will’s dad Lucas is still freaking out a little bit because he saw Will and Sonny kissing and it just made him mighty uncomfortable. It surprised him because he had been so supportive when his son came out.
But after a chat with his mom Kate, who comes off cooler than ever here, Lucas sees the error of his ways and goes to patch things up with his son.
“I made a complete ass of myself,” Lucas tells Will and Sonny.
Boy, that sure was resolved quickly!
As Lucas is speaking and apologizing, the look of love and forgiveness on Will’s face says it all. That’s why Chandler Massey is an Emmy winner.
BTW, I love the light moments between Will and Sonny, the teasing over homework etc.

I feel it throws the message in your face a little bit too much. But it’s sweet.

What a cute couple! Love their smiles when they look at each other. The writers are handling a delicate situation on their time table. We gay guys just wish they would write them over to their own time slot and show.

This really dates me but well over a decade ago Will’s dad, Lucas, was the hottest swoon-worthy hunk on daytime soaps. And competition was tougher for hotness then when other soaps were airing for full force ratings.

I really enjoyed watching Will and Sonny. It is quite admirable so to say is Lucas for being open minded and honest about his emotions about seeing Will and Sonny kissing. I hope to those who are still in the dark, this shines a light that would lead them to see.
Thank You.
