Will Horton and his grandma Marlena talk about what his kissing a guy could mean on “Days of Our Lives”

These are some awfully wonderful scenes between our Will (Chandler Massey) and his super cool grandmother Marlena (Deidre Hall).

It’s another example of already strong writing being elevated even further by two actors who are so gifted and enjoy a genuine chemistry together.

Will goes over to Marlena’s to play Scrabble and have some Chinese food and she brings up the kiss he shared with a guy recently.

Will tries to say that he was drunk, that he didn’t plan it and that he could make sure it never happens again.

But Marlena is having none of it. She very gently and very effectively urges Will to really think about what is going on here.

‘That kiss meant something to you,’ Marlena tells her grandson. ‘The sooner you can figure out what it is, the sooner you can get comfortable with yourself.’

Asks Will: ‘What if I can’t? What then?’ … I always thought that I’d get married and have kids and be normal.’

Marlena assures Will of this: ‘You are normal. You are perfectly, beautifully, deliciously, normal.’
