“Will & Grace” Wednesday: Relive some classic moments of Sean Hayes as Jack McFarland!

One of my readers, John Long, came up with a terrific suggestion this morning: Why not replace Steve Carell on The Office with Sean Hayes?

It would give the NBC comedy new life and be one of the best replacements of a series lead since Charlie Sheen took over for Michael J. Fox on Spin City.

Carell has announced his plans to leave the series after this season.

I’m not sure Hayes is interested in television right now since he is currently the toast of Broadway in Promises, Promises, was a smash as host of the Tony Awards and seems to have the professional world at his feet.

Thankfully, we have eight seasons of Will & Grace to savor. No matter how bad the series got in its later years, Sean as Jack McFarland was always a absolute hoot!
