“Will & Grace” revival already renewed for a season 2 by NBC – but you won’t be seeing Rosario the maid
The revival of Will & Grace does not make its premiere until late next month but already the show has been renewed for a second season.
Or you could say NBC has already ordered a 10th season of the show which returns after an 11 year hiatus.
NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said today that an additional four episodes were picked up for the first season, bringing the total order to 16 for this year.
The network ordered 13 episodes for the second year.
One character who definitely won’t be returning for any of the shows is Rosario (Shelley Morrison), who played Karen’s maid from 1999-2006. Morrison has told producers she’s retired, and will not be available even for an episode to say farewell to the character on the show, they said. Morrison had a cameo in the online mini-episode last fall that was so popular it led to the series revival.
The cast had their first table read on Wednesday. Will & Grace returns to NBC on Sept. 28.

Charlie says:
Rosario will be missed. It’s a shame that she won’t even make a cameo. I hope she is well.
