“Wicked” star Jonathan Bailey is named People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive”

Congratulations to the irresistible Jonathan Bailey on being the 2025 People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive!

His role of Fyero in Wicked and Wicked For Good have him riding high as a movie star as did last summer’s Jurassic Park: Rebirth. While Bridgerton first brought him to fame, I didn’t discover him until his Emmy-nominated performance in Fellow Travelers opposite Matt Bomer.

Now I’m a fan for life.

What impresses me most about Mr. Bailey, the first openly gay man to receive the title, is this: In 2024 he founded his charity, which works to fund and support LGBTQ+ organizations helping to erase shame in the community of which he is a proud part. “There’s so many people that want to do brilliant stuff who feel like they can’t,” he says, “and I know the LGBT sector is under immense threat at the moment. So it’s been amazing to meet people who have the expertise and see potential that I could have only dreamed of.”
