Why Patti LuPone won’t perform for President Donald J. Trump: ‘Because I hate the motherf***er’

Broadway legend Patti LuPone is no fan of Donald Trump.

The outspoken diva was asked by a reporter at last Sunday’s Tony Awards why Trump should come to see her in the hit musical War Paint.

‘Well, I hope he doesn’t because I won’t perform if her does,’ LuPone replied.

When the reporter followed up by saying ‘Tell me why’ LuPone was even more blunt: ‘Because I hate the motherf***er. How’s that?’

The Broadway legend had previously gone on an absolute rant against Trump last month when asked about the controversial US president while appearing on Show People.

‘He’s a f***ing-ass motherf***ing asshole. He’s a f***ing nut and he should be—he’s certifiably insane and he has compromised this country, and it is tantamount to treason what he just did. And why are we not doing anything about it? Why is it taking so long? What the f*** is going on in this country?’

LuPone did not win a third Tony on Sunday but War Paint remains one of the major hit musicals of the season.

It was her seventh nomination. She won previously for Evita and Gypsy.

So far, Trump has not tweeted about LuPone’s rants against him.
