Weekend Briefs: Rachel Maddow ticked; Jeff Lewis a “True Blood” fan; Happy Birthday to Phillp P. Keene!
Happy Sunday everyone!
Just a few little tidbits for you as I take a break from watching the US Open. Some good matches on TV today and looking forward to more tomorrow as well as a family barbeque.
Rachel Maddow, the brilliant host of her own MSNBC show, is not pleased that the website Curbed decided to publish her address and the floor plan of her new pad in Manhattan.
New York Magazine has her reaction: “They may get a lot of page views for that, but I think they would have gotten just as many page views if they had redacted my address and considered my safety and privacy. Whoever at Curbed decided the actual address and floor plan was necessary to get those page views, I hope they die in a fire.”
FLIPS OUT FOR TRUE BLOOD: Flipping Out’s Jeff Lewis tells Entertainment Weekly about his TV watching habits which include True Blood, Entourage and Hung – all on HBO.
So why is he so hooked on True Blood?
“Honestly, it’s about the sex and the gore, I love it. And especially that new werewolf (Alcide played by hunky Joe Manganiello). But the new, gay Vampire King of Mississippi (Russell) – I love him. He’s honestly my favorite character right now. I did like Lafayette, but I like this guy more. And Jason Stackhouse is s fun – he just cracks me up.”
BIRTHDAY BOY: When Kyra Sedgwick won her much-deserved Emmy for best actress in a drama series last weekend, she thanked a long list of her co-stars on The Closer.
Among them was out actor Phillip P. Keene who has played Buzz Watson on the smash TNT series for each of its six seasons.
He doesn’t have many lines most episodes but he’s an integral part of the special LAPD unit that investigates high-profile homicides.
Today is Phillip’s birthday and I hope it is a mighty happy one!
The gorgeous Phillip was a Greg In Hollywood Morning Man in July!

That’s just plain wrong when they put out someone’s private home address with all the sicko’s from the fringe who hate Rachel Maddow with such vigor, I hope she sues, although I guess its public record, but, that still does not make it right.
