Wednesday Morning Man: Dave Karger!

It’s awards season so we’ve been seeing a lot of Dave Karger on the air lately – and online.

That’s a good thing because not only is Dave so very handsome, he’s also so very smart and knowledgeable about movies.

He is so well-regarded that last year he was named an official red carpet greeter for Oscar night by the Academy of Motion Picture arts and Sciences. That’s a job previously held by TCM host Robert Osborne and before that the late Army Archerd.

Dave, 39, was a longtime writer for Entertainment Weekly until last fall when he was hired away by Fandango.com to be its chief correspondent as the site moves beyond selling tickets to offer related programming like news and commentary.

He recently launched a web series called The Frontrunners and I watched this wonderful chat he had with Hugh Jackman about specific scenes in Les Miserables. It is great stuff.
