Wednesday Briefs: Liza meets Gaga; See Elton John and the baby; Scotty and Kevin to get big story

One diva meets another! The great Liza Minnelli attended Lady Gaga’s concert last night at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Gaga’s performance was being taped for an HBO special that will air on May 7. Gaga asked the audience to give Liza a standing ovation during the concert and the two later met backstage. [More photos as BroadwayWorld.com]

Speaking of Liza, she will guest on Jimmy Fallon’s late night show on NBC tonight!

BIG STORY: It was been so great to see how Brothers & Sisters, which I had lost interest in last season, has been so revitalized. Great to be rid of Holly and Rebecca and that whole gang and Ojai Foods too.

The storylines have focused on the core family and the series seems in good shape to return for a sixth season next year. Here’s hoping!

Anyway, TV Guide reports that this season’s final four episodes will prominently feature Scotty [Luke Macfarlane] and Kevin [Matthew Rhys].

“No course ever runs smoothly, so unfortunately we have an enormous story line about to break,” Rhys says of an upcoming twist in Kevin and Scotty’s adoption saga. Rhys, who also directs the revelatory episode, says the bombshell was crafted after ABC ordered four additional episodes for the end of the season.
