WATCH: Mary Tyler Moore perform ‘With a Little Luck’ with a young David Letterman and Michael Keaton

After the end of her classic sitcom, Mary Tyler Moore tried to become a variety show star.

In the fall of 1978, CBS premiered Mary, a Sunday night variety hour that they hoped would fill the void left by The Carol Burnett Show.

Mary was surrounded by a cast of unknowns – some who became very known.

They included David Letterman, Michael Keaton and Swoosie Kurtz.

In the first clip, Mary and company end the first episode by performing the Paul McCartney hit With a Little Luck.

A few years ago, Keaton and Letterman reminisced about the show and their attempts at singing and dancing.
