Watch man propose to his boyfriend in front of audience at The Ellen DeGeneres Show

For the second time this year, a Florida couple traveled to the Los Angeles area to be in the audience for a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

What one of the men did not know was that his boyfriend of one year was going to propose marriage to him in front of Ellen’s studio audience with the talk show host in on the plan.

After her show was through taping for the day, Ellen – seemingly at random – called a couple named Benjamin and Justin down to the stage just to see if they had anything to say.

Benjamin had plenty.

After Ellen handed him the microphone, he mentioned that when they last came to see Ellen’s show on February 17, he had given Justin a commitment ring.

‘I want to spend my life with you, that hasn’t changed,’ he said before getting down on one knee and asking: ‘So today, will you marry me?’

Justin, shaking, immediately said ‘yes’ and told Ellen he had no idea the proposal was coming.

When Ellen found out the couple has been together for just a year, she joked: ‘That’s fast.’

Then Justin said: ‘I know he’s the one.’

    Sweet!

  2. That’s so cool that Ellen would be so helpful to play along with the proposal!
