WATCH: Jennifer Hudson shines a spotlight on two inspiring divers who are Lifting up LGBTQ athletes

On her talk show this week, Jennifer Hudson met Ford McLiney, a competitive diver from Kansas City, Missouri. Ford tells Jennifer how Ryan Dafforn, a gay diver who is out and proud, inspired Ford to come out and embrace his sexuality. Ryan then surprised Ford on the show. Denny’s is committed to highlighting mental health awareness, and because of Ford’s mission to support other young people who are struggling to accept themselves, they gift him with $10,000 so he can help other athletes achieve their dreams while living their lives as their true selves.
