WATCH: Anderson Cooper asks Secretary Pete Buttigieg about his future political aspirations
There’s nothing particularly remarkable about this exchange from a 60 Minutes interview between correspondent Anderson Cooper and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg except to point out that these are two famous, openly-gay men who are parents of young children. In this truly awful era of Don’t Say Gay bills (shameful), I am thankful that LGBTQ kids can see that people like them can grow up to be successful and happy and make their dreams come true no matter how much oppression they face. These bills are not about helping or protecting anybody.
