   I did a little Googling on Jobriath.

   Yes, Jobriath would be bold for that time period. He had a sense of Bowie in his singing.

   Is it not funny that a few powerful folks decided that he was not what people wanted to hear and all his, and others, efforts for his first album flopped royally? Till true today in so many areas of the life of a selected few thinking they know what is best for others. Tennessee comes to mind.

   I was never a fan of Bowie or rock-hard-for that matter but I do appreciate good talent. I give Jobriath props for sticking to his truth.
