Was Tuc Watkins’ character killed off “Desperate Housewives” in this week’s plane crash episode?

http://ant.sillydog.org/blog/pic/dhs4e04_1.jpgSo last night was the big plane crash on Wisteria Lane. We know some people died on Desperate Housewives but we’ll have to wait to find out who!

I’m just hoping the victims do not include Bob, one-half of the gay couple on the street. He’s played by Tuc Watkins and it would be such a pity to kill off exactly one-half of the street’s gay population. After the plane came to a halt, we saw Bob’s partner Lee (Kevin Rahm) looking around for him which was either done to throw us totally off or to telegraph that his hunky hubby is dead.

I’ve never thought the series has used the talents of Tuc as much as they should. But some of his deadpan comedy skills that we see when he appears as David Vickers on One Life to Live were briefly on display during Sunday’s episode in a scenbe in the hospital with Susan (Teri Hatcher).

But it is Rahm who gets most of the funny lines. He got in a little catfight with Mrs. McKlusky early in the episode because he wants to joins the street’s Christmas Carol group The Jingle Bells.

McClusky: “We’re the Jngle Bells, not the Jingle Balls.”

Later, Lee tells Bob as they watch the group perform: “It’s their group, they can do what they want – whores!”

Then, the plane crashes. I gotta figure either Bree’s husband Orson and/or lover Karl are among the casualties and we know the woman blackmailing the Drea De Matteo family bit the dust.

3 Remarks

  1. I’m hoping it was Orson and not Bob.
Marc Cherry said one of the deceased would be someone introduced in Season 1, and frankly I can’t remember if Orson had a cameo in that season or not. But I know that Karl was in Season 1, so he might be the one dead in the Santa Shack.
With Orson or Karl dead, plus the black-mailing nurse & the long-suffering pilot, that would be 3 dead characters, the number Cherry disclosed. So let’s hope Bob is safe!

  2. I have to agree with Mo…

    1) Mona the nurse
    2) The pilot
    3) Either Karl or Orson (although I think it would be Orson, as a clean way to end his story line – it was growing sad and pathetic)

  3. I have read It will be Karl that gets killed; I was hoping that it would have been Orson as well; the story line is getting a bit boring & he is so desperate.
