Wanda Sykes on first gay person she saw on TV
I love whenever Wanda Sykes stops by for a chat with Ellen DeGeneres like she did this week. Wanda is an Executive Producer on a new AppleTV+ documentary called “Visible: Out on Television,” which details the history of the LGBTQ+ community on TV. She reminisced with Ellen about how famed pianist Liberace was the first gay person she remembers seeing on TV, and argued that he was definitely gay, despite never having confirmed it himself.
The comedian also explained why her 10-year-old twins don’t want her to talk about them in public anymore, and how she hurt her back… moving exercise equipment!
