Wanda Sykes is puzzled why any Trump supporters would attend her shows: ‘What is wrong with y’all?’

Wanda Sykes wants people to know that if they go to one of her shows, don’t try and tell her what to say and what not to say.

Sykes was asked this week about a recent incident at an Amy Schumer show when audience members walked out once she started in on Donald Trump.

‘I’ve performed all over the country and I’ve had Trump supporters walk out on my show,’ Sykes said on AOL Build.

‘It always cracks me up when they boo and tell me to move on saying, “That’s enough.” First of all, I’m a black, gay woman. What the hell are you doing here?’

Sykes wonders how those Trump supporters would feel is the shoe was on the other foot.

‘It’s like why would I go to a Trump rally and be like, “Hey! I don’t like all this bad mouthing of Hillary. I like Mexicans!”

‘It’s like what the hell are you doing there in the first place? It always cracks me up – just the arrogance that they think they can come to my show and tell me what to say. I’m like, get the fuck out of here man. What is wrong with y’all?’

Sykes, 54, sat down for the AOL interview to promote her new EPIX TV special What Happened … Ms. Sykes? which premieres on Friday (21 October).

The special focuses on the comic’s life, family, race and politics.

‘I just thought about it: Here I am, openly gay … African-American and I’m legally married in all 50 states and I’m a parent. It’s like how did this happen?

‘And I’m like, “Well, it’s progress.” That’s what happened. That’s how we got here. Yeah, we’ve made some big strides in this country and it is progress and I’m not trying to go backwards.’
