“View” producer who berated Rosie O’Donnell fired

The View just isn’t the same without Rosie O’Donnell.

I think I’ve watched it maybe once since the departure of Rosie last month.

Page Six is reporting that one of the show’s top producers has been fired for berating Rosie in front of the show’s staff.

Jennifer Shepard-Brookman, a senior producer who has worked at the ABC daytime show for over eight years, was “profoundly and publicly disrespectful” to O’Donnell who complained to ABC’s human resources department.

Shepard-Brookman was initially suspended before being fired last week.

This took place before Rosie announced she was leaving the show. She did not comment on the firing and it’s not known if the incident influenced her decision to leave.

11 Remarks

  1. I just hope she stays retired this time. Ugh.

  2. I am so glad she is gone. The show is much better without her. I was a fan but no more. Her HBO show was bad and that when I loss respect for her.

  3. Shepard-Brookman probably couldn’t take any more crazy and just spoke her mind. I hope she takes a well-earned holiday.

I really have never watched much of any talk shows that seem to relish spewing gossip, bitch fights or personalities and even less of so called reality viewing so what is your point Greg? Now that she is gone do the producers expect us to come running back? I wouldn’t know who the advertisers are to even begin to support them for an up or down vote.

  5. I was posting about what happened. I said the show doesn’t interest me without Rosie. Those are my points, clearly stated. What on earth is your point?

  6. @Daniel-What was your rambling about?

  7. @ Sean-here’s a novel idea. If you’re not a Rosie fan, don’t watch.

  8. @Jim-we don’t know the details of the issue so why is it you’re only placing the blame on Rosie?

  9. @Jc-I thought her stand up show on HBO was brutally honest, funny and advocated for women to take care of themselves and ask for help if they think they’re having a heart attack. What did you see?

  10. Rosie has done a lot for the GLBT community, children, adoption and changed people’s minds on what gay parents look like. Why is it then our own community take every opportunity to tear her down? If you’re looking for someone to protest go after Aaron Sch

  11. Go after Aaron Schock who hides in the closet while voting against our rights.
