Bunch of hunky guys want to be Ellen’s gardener – all take off their shirts and display “talents”

The last guy who worked as a gardener for Ellen DeGeneres ended up landing a role in the sequel to Magic Mike with a little help from his famous boss.

So it comes as no surprise that there are scores of other hunky dudes who are eagerly vying to be the next guy chosen to water her plants and trim her bushes.

‘I hold a doctorate in shirtless landscaping from the University of Abercrombie & Fitch,’ Max Emerson says in a video he submitted to DeGeneres.

Emerson, who describes himself as a ‘young adult author and chronically shirtless Instagrammer, boasts that he has ‘trimmed bushes’ for such celebs as Pamela Anderson, Justin Bieber and – wait for it – Betty White.

Another hopeful, CJ Jones, can be seen doing some gardening – shirtless of course – and tells DeGeneres: ‘You need a gardener, I’m a gardener. We need each other … I’d be in love with your plants if you gave me the chance.’

Matthew T. Andrews, who concocted an entire storyline in his video that has him taking off his short as part of the ‘storyline,’ also displayed an ability to chop wood in case Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi want to build a warm fire.

Nick the Gardener, whose real name Bill Reilich, is a 24-year-old former assistant basketball coach who has made several shirtless appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this fall.

DeGeneres campaigned on the air to have him cast in Magic Mike XXL. The film’s star, Channing Tatum, called Reilich on the air to make the offer.
