Video: See Robbie Rogers on “Chelsea Lately” talking about what it’s like in the locker room

I love that Robbie Rogers and his LA Galaxy teammates are proving that all the silly debate over gays in the locker room is ridiculous.

‘There’s good banter,’ the always composed Rogers told Chelsea Handler last night on Chelsea Lately.

‘They make jokes when we’re in the shower. If the lights are off, they’ll be like, “I wonder why the lights are off – Robbie’s going in the shower!’

When Robbie came out publicly in February while living in London, he simultaneously retired from the sport.

‘One of the reasons why I stepped away (was) because I was so afraid – I was afraid to be in the locker room so I stepped away for a few months,’ he said.

But in late April, he returned to pro soccer and began playing with the Galaxy which is part of the Major Soccer League.

‘I felt the support was there and that times have changed,’ he said. ‘I started with the Galaxy and the guys have been so supportive.’
