Video: See MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts interview Miss New York 2010 about her pro-gay platform
I may be a Californian, but as a gay man it’s tough not to root for Claire Buffe to win the crown of Miss America.
The reigning Miss New York has done something unprecedented: She is competing on a gay rights platform and wants to improve the climate for LGBT youth in schools.
God bless her! We need as many straight allies as we can get and how wonderful it is to have someone who can help erase the memory of the bigoted Carrie Prejean who appears to have, thankfully, faded from sight.
Anyway, Claire’s peeps sent me an email today alerting me to her first national television interview – live! – on MSNBC. And how cool is it that it is conducted by our favorite openly gay television anchor: Thomas Roberts!
