Video: Dustin Lance Black on Rick Santorum, Kirk Cameron and his hopes for his Prop. 8 play
What a triumph last weekend’s performance of Dustin Lance Black’s play 8 was.
I watched in on YouTube twice and forgot about how thoroughly pissed off I was at not being able to get a press credential to even cover the red carpet.
Mr. Black, who won the Academy Award for the screenplay he wrote for Milk, is one of the real heroes of the current LGBT equal rights movement. Not only does he have smarts and passion, he also has great skills as a writer and found a way for all of us to, in essence, watch the Prop. 8 trial that the US Supreme Court would not allow to be televised.
And to be able to watch great stars like Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Matt Bomer perform it was such a cherry on the cake.
Anyway, her is an interview Lance did sometime over the weekend that I really like and want to share with you:

I haven’t been able to watch this yet due to pc problems. Bummer! Mr. Lance has such a positive demeanor. It seems to radiates from him. For what he’s accomplished, he’s a real hero to me.
