Video: Celebrating Linda Ronstadt’s birthday with “It’s In His Kiss (The Shoop Shoop Song)”
The great Linda Ronstadt turns 64 today. Her great pal, Phoebe Snow, will be 58 on Saturday.
Both are among my favorite artists of all time and I will never forget this duet of It’s In His Kiss (The Shoop Shoop Song) they did on Saturday Night Live waaaaay back in 1979.
I interviewed Phoebe a few years ago (will share more from that in a few days) and told her how much I loved that performance and had never forgotten it.
She was thrilled:
“We just watched that together! We were intensly watching YouTube and we were just two nuts back then dancing the Cha-Cha! We wondered, ‘Is that us?’ We always talked about recording it. Maybe we still will.”
That, would be unbelievable.

That totally made me smile so big!!!! Love both of them forever, but especially Linda. My friend Mary and I were her biggest fans(still am I), saw her perform at Garden State Arts Center in the 70’s…awesome!!!!!

Linda is someone still for AZ to be proud of but now in different ways. She is an activist against the terrible legislation that unfortunately was passed concerning illegal immigrants in the state

Yes, that is a great video. I love it so much, I recorded a new version on my new cd titled “More…”; says so on the cd notes…of course as a tribute to Linda and Phoebe….so sad we lost Phoebe recently. Their influence goes very far. God bless!

Happy birthday Linda. Your beautiful voice has been with me for nearly 40 years and it has been a blessing. You have sung in every genre. When
will the nominating committee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induct Linda? She musical excellence has covered her entire career and her influence is unquestionable. But Linda is 66 today, she has earned this tribute, why is it being kept from her? All her contemporaries are there, her absence is….WEIRD.
