Video: Bill Maher ridicules Newsweek’s Obama cover: “Why not just short shorts and a penis popsicle in his hand”

Bill Maher appeared on Conan last night and ridiculed the Newsweek magazine cover that features President Obama with a rainbow halo over his head with the headline: “The First Gay President.”

“Why not just short shorts and a popsicle penis in his hand?” Maher wondered.

As for the headline he said: “I don’t know what it means. …. It comes from what Toni Morrison years ago said: Clinton was the first black president. But she said he was the first black president because she said so many things about him were similar to the black experience. … What about Obama is gay? I don’t understand how this translates.”

But then again, Maher admits that he has not yet read the article by Andrew Sullivan than accompanies the cover!
