Video: Anderson Cooper happy that Stephen Colbert likes to ‘grab his nuts’ before watching him

Anderson Cooper has been heavily on the talk show circuit in recent weeks promoting a documentary and book he did with his famous mom, Gloria Vanderbilt.

In this visit to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Friday, he does his basic stump speech that we’ve seen on other shows.

But this appearance is a little different.

Mom isn’t with him and this allows for a little flirtation between the CNN anchor and Colbert.

The host greets Cooper by telling him: ‘You are my favorite anchor of the news. I love watching your show, I watch it every night when I get home. I get a glass of wine, a handful of nuts, and I go, “I gotta have my Anderson.” Every night.’

Replies the quick and clever Cooper: ‘I like a guy who grabs his nuts before watching me. What can I say?’

The audience laughs and cheers the line then Colbert says: ‘One of the things that I like about you is that you can appreciate that.’

Cooper almost had the last word on the subject by saying: ‘You have no idea.’

Then Colbert says: ‘I have some idea.’
