Van Hansis talks about his Emmy nod

We Love Soaps has Emmy nomination reactions from many of the acting nominees. of course, the only one I really care about is that of best supporting actor nominee Van Hansis who plays Luke Snyder on As the World Turns. I think his is the best performance of a gay character in the history of daytime soaps (not that there are tons to choose from!) and I hope that the third nomination is the charm for this very fine actor.

Hansis on where he was when he found out about his Emmy nod:

“I was actually doing a photo shoot for As The World Turns and I was there getting ready and I think they actually got it on camera. So my reaction is video taped somewhere. It was pretty cool. I actually had forgotten my phone at home that morning so I didn’t have a phone and I don’t know anyone’s phone number off the top of my head except my parents so I called them. I submitted scenes from last May or June; it was the breakup scenes with Luke and Noah.”
