Tuesday Morning Man: Michael Arden!
There aren’t many people who would leave the prestigious Julliard School and give up a full scholarship to join the cast of a big Broadway musical.
That’s what happened to Michael Arden who left school in 2003 to join the company of Big River in the role of Tom Sawyer. Since then, the 27 year old has worked non-stop on stage, on television and in films.
In the summer of 2007, he toured Europe with Barbra Streisand as one of her “Broadway Boys.” Most recently on Broadway, he starred in the Twyla Tharp musical The Times They Are A-Changin based on the music of Bob Dylan.
Adam has played some interesting gay roles including the play Swimming in the Shadows as a promiscuous young gay man in love with a shark. He also had a recurring ad a recurring role in the NBC series Kings as Joseph, the secret boyfriend of the closeted gay heir to the throne, Prince Jack Benjamin.
Nest up for Michael: From March through June, he will star along with Leslie Kritzer, Vanessa Williams, and Barbara Cook in a new musical called Sondheim on Sondheim.

John says:
Actually, it was announced on broadwayworld.com that Arden has pulled out of Sondheim on Sondheim. I believe he has a TV pilot that clashes with the Sondheim engagement.
Donald says:
I saw Michael perform with Barbra in Europe, and up close in Pippin in Los Angeles earlier this year. He is an absolute DREAMBOAT and sings like an angel and tears your heart out at the same time. I’ll be first in line for anything he does.
My friend, who also adores him says he imagines Michael smelling like Ivory soap.
Aiden says:
Michael is amazing, but he def if out of Sondheim and Sondheim cuz of scheduling conflict =(
