Trans activist and author Janet Mock is engaged!

Janet Mock first flew onto my radar when she appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight last year and schooled the former CNN host about many things including not describing a transgender woman as someone ‘born a boy’ in your graphics.

Janet was dignified and on point while Piers played the victim because people were writing mean things about him on Twitter.

Anyway, that bring me to this news: Janet has posted a photo on Instagram showing off her new engagement ring with the caption: “I said YES!”

The lucky guy is Aron Tredwell.

The engagement comes at a time when the author and activist has launched a new online weekly show on MSNBC. called So POPular, a weekly review of entertainment and pop-culture news viewed through a progressive lens.
