TR Knight splits with boyfriend Mark Cornelson

Here’s some surprising news: Former Grey’s Anatomy star T.R. Knight has reportedly broken up with Mark Cornelson after more than two years together. Mark is 16 years younger than T.R.

The pair had been one of the most high-profile gay couples appearing together at such events as the Elton John Oscar bash (pictured), the GLAAD Media Awards and the Human Rights Campaign gala.

T.R. was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently and talked about his desire to become a parent. He is currently starring in Parade at the Mark Taper Forum and is set to appear in the role of Max in the Broadway revival of the classic farce Lend Me a Tenor to be directed by Stanley Tucci. It is scheduled to open in February 2010.
