Totally Random Video: When Elizabeth Taylor, then a bored political wife, did a loopy interview with Dinah Shore

This is an oddly fascinating interview that popped up on my YouTube page between Dinah Shore and Elizabeth Taylor.

It’s a telephone video interview with Taylor in Georgetown during the early years of her marriage to Senator John Warner before she got really overweight. She was promoting her film A Little Night Music but didn’t seem to want to talk about it much. In fact, she seemed rather out of it!

This was a post-Richard Burton period and before she got sober and became such a great AIDS humanitarian.
