Totally Random Video: In “If We Took A Holiday,” actress is Madonna all day to cheer up gay friend
This brilliant 2014 short film blew me away the first time I saw it. If you have never seen it, it’s time you do!
If We Took a Holiday tells the story of a struggling L.A. actress (Nadya Ginsburg) who agrees to impersonate Madonna all day long as a birthday present for her recently dumped gay best friend (Dennis Hensley.)
Shenanigans and life lessons ensue.
The film is produced and written by Glenn Gaylord, Ginsburg and Hensley and directed by Gaylord whose feature film credits include such terrific movies as I Do and Leave it on the Floor.
I think the world of Dennis whose wildly popular The MisMatch Game series has raised a whole lot of money for the Los Angeles LGBT Center over the years. In the most recent edition in February, Ginsburg was hilarious and dead-on as Cher.
Enjoy!

Nadya’s the best, isn’t she? She does my girl Cher, wickedly.
And she nails the not so easy to imitate Madonna.
