Tom Daley’s relationship with Dustin Lance Black part of new documentary on Olympic diver

Adorable Tom Daley sure has had an eventful four years since winning the bronze medal at the Summer Olympics in London and it turns out much of it has been captured by a documentary crew.

Post-Olympics, Daley came out publicly as a gay man, won many more diving titles around the world and has been busy training for this summer’s Olympics in Brazil where he is competing in two events.

But the most highly-anticipated part of Tom Daley: Diving For Gold will no doubt be the athlete’s high-profile romance with Dustin Lance Black, the director and Oscar-winning screenwriter who is two decades Daley’s senior.

The couple are an active presence on social media and in recent months have been mostly apart as Daley trained in London and Black filmed the ABC miniseries When We Rise which he wrote.

Daley and Black began quietly dating in 2013 before Daley had come out publicly. The couple became engaged last fall.

The Daley documentary was commissioned for ITV by Entertainment Commissioner Amanda Stavri and is being produced by Twofour. It will air later this summer, according to TVWise.
