Tom Daley: “I can understand why I have a massive gay following – I spend most of my life half naked”
British diver Tom Daley was recently the winner of gay mag Attitude’s “Sexiest Man” contest and celebrated by making clear that he is not gay himself.
“I think it’s funny when people say I’m gay… I laugh it off,” Tom tells the London Mirror. “I’m not. But even if I was, I wouldn’t be ashamed. It wouldn’t bother me in the slightest what people thought.”
“But I can understand why I have a massive gay following – I spend most of my life half naked in trunks on a diving board showing off my bare chest. I often joke I wear more to bed than I do to work. But I’m cool with my gay following. It’s great to have gay fans even though my friends gently [make jokes].”

I guess I would rather fantasize about a guy who isn’t quite so narcissistic. It’s cool that gay fans don’t bother him, but it’s not that surprising either. He obviously wants to have fans lusting after him regardless of gender. There’s nothing at all wrong with that. I just would rather fantasize about someone that’s real.

This seems to be the new tactic by men who are alleged to be closet cases. I just read where James Franco says “I wish I was gay.” If I WERE his PR person, I would coach him well enough that he would use proper grammar.

Have there been any actual rumors of Tom Daley being or just the hopes of some gay men? He does get asked his sexuality in many of his interviews but that just 19 and has not had a girlfriend for any length of time. When he asked he says he is not gay. I basically believe him until there is evidence other wise.
