Today’s Totally Random Video: Deleted scenes from “The Big Chill” featuring Glenn Close, Jeff Goldblum & more!

The Big Chill was one of my favorites movies from the 80s. I had it on VHS and had the soundtrack on CD and remember they even had a second CD called More Songs From The Big Chill that I don’t think were even in the movie but had the same Motown vibe.

Anyway, I have never seen these deleted scenes and came across them yesterday while compiling the Glenn Close birthday collection (Hope you enjoyed that!). I was hoping they would include the flashback scenes Kevin Costner filmed which were not in the movie but they do not. They mostly include everyone arriving at the funeral and had some of these made the movie, maybe Jeff Goldblum’s character would have been more likable. It’s funny the way he keeps reminding people who he is.

In the end, I can see why these scenes did not make the fin all cut and I think the movie is terrifically edited and is brilliant the way it is. Check out the scenes and maybe watch The Big Chill after that!
