Today’s Morning Man: Luke Macfarlane!
Happy birthday to dreamboat actor Luke Macfarlane who turns 44 today.
Luke is not only a new dad, but he’s as busy as ever professionally as a leading man in Hallmark and Lifetime movies (the most being Notes of Autumn, Catch Me if You Claus, and Amish Stud: The Eli Weaver Story) and as a regular in the series Platonic.
For longtime fans who fell in love with Luke as Scotty on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters, it was such a thrill to see him as the star of the feature film Bros opposite Billy Eichner which was a rare major studio film with a male love story as the focus.
Before Bros, Luke co-starred in the Netflix rom-com Single All the Way as a ski instructor who gets set up with Michael Urie’s character over the holidays. He had also starred in the Hallmark Channel holiday films Christmas in My Heart and A Magical Christmas Village.
The Julliard-trained actor came out publicly as a gay man while playing gay character on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters (opposite Matthew Rhys) and was RAC Agent D’avin Jaqobis on the Space television science fiction series Killjoys (2015–2019) .
Luke has been able to play both gay and straight roles throughout his career and also has a long list of stage credits.
