Today’s Morning Man: Cheyenne Jackson!
Snapped the photo on the right of the always dashing Cheyenne Jackson at opening night of the musical Into the Woods at the Ahmanson Theatre.
Today I wish the multi-talented star a very happy 48th birthday!
Cheyenne, who was such a hoot on the Fox sitcom Call Me Kat the past three years, had been a part of the Broadway production of Into The Woods for 10 shows last summer while his friend Gavin Creel was away. Creel is part of the current national tour.
Cheyenne is no stranger to Broadway where he has starred in Xanadu, All Shook Up, Finian’s Rainbow and The Performers, among other shows.
In films, Cheyenne starred opposite Gena Rowlands in the film version of Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks in 2014 andportrayed 9/11 victim and hero Mark Bingham in the 2006 film United 93. Other movie roles include The Green, Liberace, Behind the Candelabra, and A Beautiful Now.
Before Call Me Kat, Cheyenne’s biggest television success was in American Horror Story. He appeared in the fifth season of of the franchise as one of the leads alongside Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer. Jackson returned to the show’s sixth season to play Network Executive Sidney Aaron James as well as the seventh season to play psychiatrist Dr. Rudy Vincent Anderson and the eighth season of the show to play warlock John Henry Moore.
Last year, Jackson competed in season seven of The Masked Singer as “Prince” of Team Good. He finished in third place.
He and actor actor Jason Landau have been married since 2014 and welcomed twins, a girl named Willow and boy named Ethan, in October 2016. Cheyenne has shared snippets of their lives on his Instagram account and it’s been fun to see – especially those early new parent months!
