Today’s Holiday Tune: When Diana Ross performed lovely medley at Christmas in Washington concert

I saw Diana Ross in concert at the Hollywood Bowl over the summer – probably my 10th time seeing her live – and was so in awe of how, at 81, she still completely sells out such a major venue for two nights and draws fans from all generations.

There are not many stars like her.

Miss Ross performed for then-President Obama and his family and others at 2012’s Christmas in Washington special and I want to share that with you today.

Here is her opening medley of holiday songs. It makes me appreciate how Miss Ross, now 72, can still put herself together beautifully and sing so sweetly. She was later among the recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Obama.
