Timothée Chalamet, Kate McKinnon and “Love, Simon” couple get MTV Movie and TV Award nominations

MTV today announced the categories and nominees for the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards to be hosted by Tiffany Haddish on June 18. There are some LGBT nominees I’m happy to say including Timothée Chalamet for Call Me by Your Name in the category of Best Performance in a Movie category (categories not separated by gender). In TV categories, Darren Criss received a nod for playing a gay serial killer in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story; out actress Kate McKinnon was nominated for Saturday Night Live; and gay actor Dan Levy was nominated for Schitt’s Creek. In the Best Kiss category, among the nominees are Nick Robinson (Simon) and Keiynan Lonsdale (Bram) in the film Love, Simon. Here is a LINK to the full list of nominees.
