Former MSNBC and CNN anchor Thomas Roberts has been named the new host of “DailyMailTV”
Thomas Roberts, who has spent his summer doing his own show Gay Good News, will start a new job after Labor Day.
The former MSNBC and CNN anchor is the new host of the syndicated show DailyMailTV.
Congratulations to Thomas! I think he’s a first-rate journalist and broadcaster and am always rooting for his success.
Says Thomas of the new gig: ‘After 25 amazing years in TV News, whether as an anchor or correspondent, I’ve had some pretty incredible ”career first’s.” But this is the first time I’ve ever been this excited to start and just get to work.
Roberts became the first openly gay man to anchor a network evening newscast when he subbed for Lester Holt on the NBC Nightly News. He has worked at a variety of local, cable, syndicated and national platforms. In addition to NBC News and CNN, he has previously reported for CBS News and The Insider/Entertainment Tonight in Los Angeles and several local stations in Portsmouth, Virginia, Ft. Myers, Florida, Lincoln, Nebraska and San Diego.
DailyMailTV won the 2019 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment News Program at the 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
