Thom Beirdz begins a string of appearances on “The Young and the Restless” with today’s episode
Good news fellow Thom Bierdz fans!
The actor, who returned to The Young and the Restless last summer after a 20 year absence, has been fairly scarce on the show recently but that changes with today’s episode of the CBS soap.
Thom plays Phillip Chancellor III who is a gay man as is the man who plays him.
Tuesday’s previews showed a scene where Phillip’s son and namesake, who now goes by the name of Chance, finally explodes at him saying: “Why don’t you just go because that’s what you’re so good at!”
In an email update, Thom writes that this will open things up so that the long-lost father and son can talk about some deep issues.
“In the next three weeks, I’ll be on The Young and the Restless about every other day,” Thom reports. “And a special thanks to those who have written or called Y&R on behalf of keeping my character on the show … I’m very grateful for the ongoing love and support I get from each of you.”
Here are some ways to voice your support to keep Thom’s gay character on the show beyond Thom’s current six-month contract:
