It certainly seems possible judging from the stupendous reviews he has gotten this week during opening week of Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway.

As a transgender East German punk rock singer, NPH is getting raves.

Here are excerpts from some of the major reviews starting with The New York Times which described NPH as ‘a bona fide Broadway star, the kind who can rule an audience with the blink of a sequined eyelid.’

NY Times critic Ben Brantley also wrote: ‘Mr. Harris is in full command of who he is and, most excitingly, what he has become with this performance. … With this show, Mr. Harris joins an elite club of musical-comedy male supernovas that has exactly one other member these days, Hugh Jackman.’
