“The Kiss” was handled well on “Modern Family”
Did you watch it?
No big drum roll, just a casual peck on the lips between Cameron and Mitchell towards the end of last night’s sweet episode of ABC’s Modern Family.
This show is so good and they handled the controversy over Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) not kissing in public beautifully and, at times, hysterically. My favorite moment came when Cam tries to kiss Mitchell at a family gathering and ends up tumbling off of the sofa and knocking over a bowl of chips.
I’ve been reading various blogs and there has been all kinds of comments like “That’s it?” Well, it’s good enough for me. We didn’t need tongue action or anything and I trust the show to continue to handle the gay characters as well as they handle all of their characters.

I agree with you Greg. Besides, why would there be tongue action at a family gathering? I thought the kiss was totally appropriate for the setting and the episode dealt with the topic just fine. It showed an affectionate kiss between two gay men and in addition, showed us affection between a father and son. All good stuff as far as I’m concerned.
