That was quick! “GCB” out on DVD on June 12!
Watched last night’s season finale of GCB on ABC and it is my sincere hope we get to see a second season of this delicious show.
It is a hoot!
I did not love the season-ending episode but I loved so much about this show throughout the season starting with the amazing Annie Potts, the delightful Kristin Chenoweth and a beautiful chemistry between Mark Deklin and Miram Shor who play a married couple with a secret: he is gay.
The DVD of the entire first season will be out on June 12 – surprisingly quick! Usually release dates of a previous season coincide with the start of the next season but since we don’t know if the series will return, this makes sense.
In addition to all of the episodes, the DVD set will include these bonus features:
Bigger in Texas –Fans can watch the transformations the actresses go through from hair to makeup, and more. Costume designer Robert Blackman describes each of the GCB’s Dallas style with a show-and-tell that highlights each character’s unique look.
Living Large – Stars Annie Potts and Jennifer Aspen, along with production designer Denny Dugally, take viewers along for an exclusive tour of the world of GCB, showcasing how the Texas spirit is vividly brought to the screen each week with detailed authenticity.
Preaching to the Choir – Fans will enjoy a visit to the set and a conversation with Kristin
Chenoweth, Miriam Shore and the rest of the cast as they sing and share insight as to why music is so important to the series.
GCB: Most Likely To… – This piece offers fans the opportunity to get to know the cast in this irreverent collection of thoughts from the team behind the show. From “Best Dressed,” to “Class Clown,” fans will see what the cast really thinks of one another.
Audio Commentaries – Cast members Leslie Bibb, Mark Deklin and Brad Beyer join producers Bobby Harling, Gretchen Berg and Aaron Herberts as they offer unique insight.

I really enjoy the snap in each character. Would like to know from others about last nights episode – seems the episode sorta lost the shows previous energy direction ??

From yesterday, I am still smiling especially at the gym today – thinking about the distinction of being gay-fit .vs hetero-fit.

RichB in PS, I have to agree with you about last nights episode-it did seem to be a bit scattered and all over the place without rhyme or reason about why anyone was doing what they did or said even.Hopefully if picked up for season 2 they will treat the finale like they did with Dallas after their disaster of a season. It was all a bad dream after all.
