“Teen Wolf” gay werewolf Charlie Carver to also play gay in new James Franco film “Michael”

Hunky Charlie Carver is taking on another gay role only this time he doesn’t turn into a werewolf.

The actor has been cast in the film Michael which stars James Franco as a man who went from being a gay activist and founder of a gay magazine to becoming a Christian pastor and an ‘ex-gay.’

‘Couldn’t be more thrilled,’ Carver tweeted on Thursday.

Carver will play a man named Tyler who gets involved with Franco’s and Zachary Quinto’s characters who are a couple, according to Deadline.

Tyler is heartbroken when the title character rejects his homosexuality.

The film marks a rare solo project for Carver that does not include his twin brother, Max Carver.

Both were in Teen Wolf, are currently on the HBO series The Leftovers and got their start playing the twin sons of Felicity Huffman on Desperate Housewives.

While on Teen Wolf, Carver had a memorable love scene with co-star Keahu Kahuanui in a motel room on a bed.

‘I think what I really loved getting to shoot the sex scene was going from being in a really intimate moment with someone and then hallucinating that a werewolf is popping out of my stomach,’ he told The Backlot earlier this year.
