Suze Orman gets unpleasant birthday surprise

Poor Suze Orman.

The financial guru was in Chicago for her birthday weekend (she turned 59 on Saturday) when she got quite a birthday surprise: the day after her big day, she underwent emergency appendectomy surgery!

“Suze went to Chicago to celebrate her birthday and didn’t expect to leave her appendix behind,” a CNBC spokesperson tells TVNewser. “Northwestern Hospital took great care of her. It was a great team of doctors and a successful surgery. She will be recuperating in Florida.”

She had to cancel some appearances this week but no doubt will be back soon to advise us on how to navigate these financially challenging times.
